Founded in 1976, Hatman Jack’s has become the third-largest hat store in the nation and a cornerstone of the stylish and historic Delano neighborhood in Wichita, Kansas. Founder Jack Kellogg has been making hats for nearly four decades, and is well known around the country for his expertise, craftsmanship, and customer service.
The store stocks a huge selection of ready-made hats from nearly 100 brands in almost every style, for every head – even large sizes! Men’s, women’s and children’s hats from dressy to casual, ranch to boardroom. Summer to winter – Hatman Jack’s has it all, along with a selection of accessories such as wallets, scarves, gloves, vests, suspenders, Wild Rags, and handbags. If you are ever in the Wichita area, it is worth the trip to visit our shop for the custom fitting experience.
Storied Traditions of a Bygone Era
While 45 years of serving as Wichita’s favorite hatter is quite impressive, the building itself has a history that dates back to the 1920s when it was known simply as Wichita Hatworks. Jack himself didn’t even know the full extent of its history until one of his customers informed him that his mother had worked there decades ago. He did a little digging and found that his hands had not been the first to craft beautiful hats in his Delano location. When you visit the store, you can’t help but sense the storied traditions of a bygone era.
